It’s not often that someone wants to shell out cash just to hear my opinion. (Which is a shame, because I consider myself a very opinionated guy!)

Have you ever watched a TV commercial and suddenly thought to yourself: “That was the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen”? Or, maybe you’ve been in the supermarket and thought: “It would be AWESOME if they had lime-flavored cheese puffs!”

Well, believe it or not, there are thousands of companies who want this kind of feedback. They’ll actually pay you to answer their questions – and nope, I’m not talking about spending hours on the phone with telemarketers.

I’m talking about taking paid surveys – online, on your own time, at your home computer.

If you use the Internet pretty often, chances are you’ve probably already seen ads for these surveys. But the tricky part, I’ve discovered, is knowing which ones are legit.

It might sound too good to be true at first, but keep in mind: incentive-based market research like this has been used for decades. And now that companies can put their surveys online (instead of paying for costly telemarketing call centers), they can save even more of their marketing dollars and pass that along as larger incentives to people like you and me.
